Job summary

Interaction Recruitment PLC is seeking a hands-on Shift Engineer to provide first-class mechanical and electrical engineering support across PET extrusion, thermoforming and manufacturing equipment. You will diagnose and repair breakdowns, fault-find across motors and controls, and perform planned and reactive maintenance while driving TPM and continuous improvement.

The role includes 4 on/4 off days and nights with a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Multi-skilled engineering experience with mechanical & electrical skills.
• Manufacturing, FMCG, plastics, packaging or process industry experience.
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving ability.
• HNC, apprenticeship or equivalent engineering qualification.
• PLC, PET extrusion or thermoforming experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical & electrical breakdowns.
• Fault-find across motors, drives, sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics & controls.
• Complete planned and reactive maintenance.
• Carry out root cause analysis and eliminate repeat failures.
• Support start-ups, changeovers, upgrades and new equipment.

SHIFT ENGINEER – MULTI-SKILLED

£53- 55k | 4 on / 4 off | 12-hour shifts

Are you a hands-on Multi-Skilled Engineer who thrives on solving problems and keeping production moving?

We’re looking for a skilled Shift Engineer to join our team, providing first-class mechanical and electrical engineering support across PET extrusion, thermoforming and manufacturing equipment.
