Job summary

ETS Consulting Ltd is recruiting a Shift Maintenance Engineer for a leading UK food manufacturing group in Bodelwyddan. The role covers 4 on 4 off days/nights with 12-hour shifts, focusing on preventative maintenance and fault-finding across packaging, conveyors and labelling equipment.

You should be apprentice-trained in mechanical engineering with experience in PLCs, automated machinery and PPMS, ideally within FMCG. There are long-term progression opportunities in a well-established firm.

Qualifications

• Minimum full apprenticeship in mechanical engineering.
• Experience with planned and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Experience with flow wrappers, labelling, packaging and conveyors.
• Experience in a high-speed automated environment.
• Food/FMCG sector experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on production lines.
• Fault find on motors, drives and circuits.
• Work in a team or autonomously as required.
• Support continuous improvement and line adjustments.
• Longer term progression opportunities within the company.

Shift Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £57,286 + Pension + Overtime

The Company

Based within one of the UK’s leading privately owned food manufacturing groups, they are an extremely well established manufacturing group with over 30 years of food production knowledge, and they are looking to recruit an experienced maintenance engineer to add to their existing team.

The Role

You will have ideally served a minimum of a full apprenticeship in mechanical engineering and have experience working within planned and preventative maintenance schedules, working with equipment such as flow wrappers and labelling machines, together with packaging, conveyor systems, 3-phase, bagging machines, motors, drives and processing machinery within a high speed automated environment. The ideal candidate will also have experience of circuits, motors and drives within an automated environment and the ability to work within a team or autonomously as required. You will also have a strong multi-skilled background with the ability to fault find on a variety of production equipment.
