Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Shift Maintenance Engineer for a growing FMCG manufacturer near Wrexham. You will join an established engineering team, carrying out both planned maintenance and reactive fault finding across a wide range of automated machinery in a fast-paced production environment.

The role offers variety, tackling breakdowns, root-cause analysis, and equipment improvements. Relevant experience in multi-skilled maintenance, electrical and mechanical fault-finding, and reading

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 Engineering qualification (or equivalent).
  • Multi-skilled Maintenance experience.
  • Previous manufacturing maintenance experience.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding ability.
  • Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
  • Reactive breakdown maintenance.
  • Reading electrical and mechanical engineering drawings.
  • Basic PLC I/O understanding.
  • Motors, drives, gearboxes and transmission systems.
  • Bearings, brakes and closed-loop feedback systems.
  • Continuous Improvement.
  • Root Cause Analysis.
  • CMMS experience.
  • Health & Safety awareness.

Shift Maintenance Engineer

Location: Near Wrexham

Salary: Up to £49,(Apply online only)

Shift: 4 on 4 off (2 Days / 2 Nights) | 7:00am - 7:00pm / 7:00pm - 7:00am

Job Role of the Shift Maintenance Engineer

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Shift Maintenance Engineer to join a growing FMCG manufacturer in the Wrexham area. You'll be joining an established engineering team responsible for keeping a busy production facility running efficiently, carrying out both planned maintenance and reactive fault finding across a wide range of automated machinery.

The role offers plenty of variety, from responding to breakdowns and identifying root causes through to supporting equipment improvements and wider engineering projects. This would suit a genuinely multi-skilled engineer who enjoys being hands‑on, solving problems and working within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Sector - FMCG Manufacturing

Non‑Negotiable Requirements of the Shift Maintenance Engineer
  • NVQ Level 3 Engineering qualification (or equivalent).
  • Multi‑Skilled Maintenance experience.
  • Previous manufacturing maintenance experience.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault‑finding ability.

  • Fabrication or welding experience.
  • MEWP licence.
  • Health & Safety qualification.
The Shift Maintenance Engineer will benefit from:
