What you'll do -

1. Run shifts and assist (and deputize for) the Store Manager to ensure smooth daily operations, including stock availability, staff coverage, store presentation, quality checks, and maintenance issues.
2. Ensure proper handover of shift to the next Shift Manager or Store Manager.
3. Supervise the team and ensure outstanding customer service.
4. Assist the Store Manager in maximizing sales and minimizing wastage, focusing on daily and weekly targets.
5. Ensure POS and labels are correctly placed and complete.
6. Participate in training, development, and supervision of the team, leading by example.
7. Support the Store Manager in maintaining Health and Safety compliance according to legislation and company policy.
8. Process deliveries of ambient, fresh, packaging, and consumable goods.
9. Display and merchandise stock effectively.
10. Rotate stock, check sell-by/use-by dates, and record accordingly.
11. Serve customers, process transactions, and pack groceries.
12. Dispose of waste properly.
