Job summary

Caffè Nero in the United Kingdom is seeking a Shift Leader to support smooth store operations and mentor the team to deliver exceptional service. You’ll lead the shift, brew great coffee and seasonal drinks, and ensure every customer experiences personalised service.

Role emphasizes customer interaction, teamwork, and a positive attitude. Training is provided; prior supervisor experience is welcome but not required, with opportunities to grow within the business.

Qualifications

• Experience as a supervisor or team leader is preferred.
• Strong people skills and ability to lead by example.
• Comfort with fast-paced service and delivering friendly, personalised experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift, guiding the team and ensuring excellent service.
• Prepare and serve coffee, matcha and seasonal drinks to order.
• Deliver high standard service in-store and for deliveries.
• Keep customer areas and back-of-house clean and safe at all times.

• Are charge of the shift, leading their team by example.
• Make fantastic coffee… and matcha… and seasonal drinks… every order is special! From bean to cup, they make each customer their coffee, exactly how they like it!
• Provide great service, both in store and through deliveries. With our signature 1-2-1 service style, they ensure customers leave with a personalised experience.
• Keep the customer and back-of-house areas safe, clean, organised and ready for service. Some examples would be cleaning tables or ensuring toilets are kept to the high standards our customers expect.

• To become a Shift Leader, ideally you will have some experience as a Supervisor or Team Leader - but if you haven't got that don't worry, we'd still love to hear from you.
