Job summary

Caffè Nero in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee store operations, lead the team by example and ensure exceptional service. You will guide baristas to craft coffee and seasonal drinks to each customer’s preference, while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

The role offers training, career growth, and generous staff discounts. Starter rate is £12.76/hour, rising to £12.91/hour with service, with additional perks through Nero benefits programs.

Qualifications

• Are charge of the shift, leading their team by example.
• Make fantastic coffee… and matcha… and seasonal drinks… every order is special!
  From bean to cup, they make each customer their coffee, exactly how they like it!
• Provide great service, both in store and through deliveries. With our signature 1-2-1 service style, they ensure customers leave with a personalised experience.
• Keep the customer and back-of-house areas safe, clean, organised and ready for service. Some examples would be cleaning tables or ensuring toilets are kept to the high standards our customers expect.
• Take pride in what they do and always strive for excellence!

To become a Shift Leader, ideally you will have some experience as a Supervisor or Team Leader – but if you haven’t got that don’t worry, we’d still love to hear from you.
