Job summary

Caffè Nero is seeking a Shift Leader for our Preston location. You will lead a small team, ensure smooth store operations and deliver the high standard of service our customers expect. No prior coffee experience is required as comprehensive training is provided.

You will drive excellent customer service, support deliveries, and maintain a clean, safe store environment while promoting team development and a positive workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Supervisor or Team Leader preferred.
• No coffee experience required; training provided.
• Strong customer service and team collaboration.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of store areas.

Responsibilities

• Open/shift leadership: manage the team and set an example.
• Prepare and serve coffee, beverages and seasonal drinks to quality standards.
• Deliver great service in-store and during deliveries with personalised experiences.

• Are charge of the shift, leading their team by example.
• Make fantastic coffee… and matcha… and seasonal drinks… every order is special!
  From bean to cup, they make each customer their coffee, exactly how they like it!
• Provide great service, both in store and through deliveries. With our signature 1-2-1 service style, they ensure customers leave with a personalised experience.
• Keep the customer and back-of-house areas safe, clean, organised and ready for service. Some examples would be cleaning tables or ensuring toilets are kept to the high standards our customers expect.
• Take pride in what they do and always strive for excellence!

To become a Shift Leader, ideally you will have some experience as a Supervisor or Team Leader – but if you haven’t got that don’t worry, we’d still love to hear from you.

The starter rate for Shift Leaders in this location is £12.76 per hour, increasing to £12.91 with service.
