Job summary

Müller UK & Ireland is seeking a Shift Lead for the Droitwich Dairy, a permanent, full-time role in the Process Department. You will lead and coach a high-performing team, driving operational excellence while upholding safety, quality, service and cost performance.

You will develop individuals, mentor frontline colleagues, and deliver continuous improvement initiatives that support business objectives. Strong leadership and stakeholder skills are essential to succeed in this fast-paced

• Proven leadership experience in a Food Manufacturing, FMCG or Production environment.
• Strong people management and coaching capabilities.
• Experience managing performance, development and employee relations matters.

• Ability to engage, motivate and develop teams to achieve outstanding results.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Job description

We're looking for a Shift Lead to join our Process Department at our flagship Droitwich Dairy. This is an exciting opportunity to lead, coach and develop a high-performing Process team, driving operational excellence whilst ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, service and cost performance. As a key leader within the operation, you'll play a pivotal role in developing your team, enhancing performance, and delivering continuous improvement initiatives that support our business objectives. This role would suit an experienced people leader from a Food Manufacturing, FMCG or Manufacturing environment who is passionate about developing others and creating a culture of accountability, engagement and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading and developing a team to consistently deliver operational targets.
• Creating and implementing individual development plans to support employee growth and succession planning.
• Coaching and mentoring front-line colleagues, empowering them to solve problems and improve performance.
• Managing performance, engagement, attendance and employee relations matters effectively and professionally.
• Driving a culture of continuous improvement through Operational Excellence principles and methodologies.
• Identifying opportunities to eliminate waste, improve efficiencies and optimise processes.
