Job summary

B&Q Warrington is seeking a Shift Lead to oversee daily store operations, ensuring safety and an excellent customer experience. The role covers peak hours and requires you to deploy colleagues, respond to inquiries, and manage end-to-end shift activities.

You’ll be the heartbeat of the store during your shift, driving visibility, engagement, and a welcoming environment for customers and colleagues alike, with a focus on teamwork and compliance.

Shift Lead

Full time, Part time or Job Share - 36.75 Hours per week

Full-time equivalent £27,709.50 per annum + Pension + 6.6 Weeks Holiday

This is a keyholder position, with shifts ranging from an earliest start time of 5am to a latest finish time of 9pm. Every day, we give our millions of customers the ideas, advice, tools and confidence they need to create a home they’ll love. Join us as a Shift Lead and you’ll be a big part of this.

Role

Your role as a Shift Lead is pivotal in ensuring a safe working and shopping environment. You’re the person who will oversee your shift to cultivate a great experience for both colleagues and customers daily. It’s B&Q’s ambition to make every customer count, so you’ll strive to ensure B&Q is a place colleagues love to work, and customers love to shop. In this role you will:

• Be the heartbeat of the store day-to-day and ensure operations are running smoothly.


• Make sure colleagues are deployed correctly to ‘make every customer count’ throughout your shift.


• Be the first point of contact for customers and colleagues.


• Make sure our stores are safe at all times.
