Job summary

B&Q Trafford Park is hiring a Shift Lead on a part-time, permanent basis. You will oversee a shift, ensure customers have a great experience, and keep store operations running smoothly. You are the heartbeat of the store, deploying colleagues, greeting customers, and upholding safety standards throughout your shift.

The role offers £14.50 per hour, plus a pension and 6.6 weeks holiday. Shifts range from 7am to 10pm, with on-site responsibilities that create a welcoming, safe, and efficient

This is a keyholder position, with shifts ranging from an earliest start time of 7am to a latest finish time of 10pm

What's the job?

Your role as a Shift Lead is pivotal in ensuring a safe working and shopping environment. You’re the person who will oversee your shift to cultivate a great experience for both colleagues and customers daily. It’s B&Q’s ambition to make every customer count, so you’ll strive to ensure B&Q is a place colleagues love to work, and customers love to shop. In this role you will:

• Be the heartbeat of the store day-to-day and ensure operations are running smoothly.
• Make sure colleagues are deployed correctly to ‘make every customer count’ throughout your shift.
• Be the first point of contact for customers and colleagues.
• Make sure our stores are safe at all times.
