Job Title: Shift HVAC Multi Skilled Engineer
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Shift HVAC Multi Skilled Engineer to join our team in Coventry.
Role Summary:
- Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on plant, equipment, and building services.
- Identify and manage risks to the client through equipment management, including critical spares, performance improvement, and environment control via BMS systems.
- Implement and improve preventative maintenance programs, utilizing new equipment and technologies to maintain a comfortable environment.
- Fault find on HVAC plant and equipment, with a focus on Variable Refrigerant Volume air conditioning systems.
- Handle refrigerants safely, possessing necessary F-Gas qualifications.
- Support health and safety initiatives within the team, including acting as Energy Champion and assisting as Safety Champion.
- Provide electrical and mechanical expertise, complete risk assessments, and ensure documentation complies with rules and legislation.
- Use mobile devices and CAFM systems to project and complete work efficiently.
- Liaise with onsite supervisors and account managers to resolve building services issues.
- Act as responsible person when required, deputising for the site supervisor during absences.
- Work overtime as needed, including nights and weekends, with short notice.
- Perform ad hoc duties and supervise subcontractors.
- Participate in an on-call rota for emergency responses outside normal hours.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Recognized or time-served apprenticeship in HVAC or related field.
- Proven experience in HVAC maintenance.
- Mechanical competencies to City and Guilds standards.
- Strong multi-skilled abilities and fault-finding skills.
- Ability to supervise contractors and complete risk assessments and method statements.
- Knowledge of permits and safe systems of work.
- F-Gas safe handling and refrigerant use.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Working at Height Qualification.
- IPAF/PASMA certification.
- AP qualifications.
- BMS system experience.
- HVAC controls expertise.
