Job Title: HVAC Engineer
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a HVAC Multi Skilled Engineer to join the team in Daventry.
The successful candidate will perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on plant, equipment, and building services.
Role Summary:
- Identify and manage risks to the client through onsite equipment, including critical spares, improving plant and equipment performance, managing environment conditions via BMS, and running all plant efficiently, while improving preventative maintenance programs.
- Utilize new equipment and technologies to maintain a comfortable environment, liaising with the client regarding reactive and PPM tasks.
- Fault find on all types of HVAC plant and equipment, with a focus on Variable Refrigerant Volume air conditioning systems, and handle refrigerants safely with F-Gas qualifications.
- Support team members in health and safety matters.
- Act as Energy Champion and assist as Safety Champion for the site.
- Provide electrical and mechanical expertise to the maintenance team.
- Develop and follow risk assessments, addressing issues safely and accurately.
- Complete documentation in accordance with rules and legislation.
- Use mobile devices to document and complete work via the CAFM system.
- Plan daily tasks using email and calendars for efficiency.
- Coordinate with onsite supervisors and account managers on building service issues.
- Serve as responsible person for the team and deputize for the site supervisor when needed.
- Work overtime as required, including nights and weekends.
- Perform ad hoc duties as necessary.
- Supervise and manage subcontractors.
- Participate in an on-call rota for emergencies outside normal hours.
Experience Required:
- A recognized or time-served apprenticeship.
- Proven experience in HVAC maintenance.
- Mechanical competencies/qualifications to City and Guilds standards.
- Strong multi-skilled abilities.
- Fault-finding skills.
- Ability to supervise contractors.
- Ability to complete risk assessments and method statements.
- Understanding of permits and safe systems of work.
- F-Gas safe handling and refrigerant use.
Desirable:
- Working at height qualification.
- IPAF / PASMA certifications.
- AP qualifications.
- BMS system experience.
- HVAC controls knowledge.
