Job summary

Hutchison Ports (UK) in Felixstowe seeks an Equipment Technology Technician (Shift) to diagnose, repair and maintain electrical/electronic control and drive systems on container handling equipment. The role supports the port's NetZero targets and requires an HNC/HND in Electrical/Electronic Eng or equivalent.

The ideal candidate will have PLC programming knowledge and the ability to work across networks and safety standards, with a Full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND Electrical or Electronic Eng or equivalent.
• Advanced fault-finding on complex engineering equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain electrical, electronic, automation and control systems on container handling equipment.
• Deliver reactive and planned maintenance and project work with minimal port disruption.
• Support network communications, positioning systems and terminal operating interfaces across equipment.
• Drive reliability improvements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
