Job summary

HEYSHAM PORT LTD is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to perform reactive and planned maintenance on plant and equipment across Terminals One and Two, including cranes and container handling gear. You will be part of a safety-forward team delivering reliable operation and timely breakdown fixes.

The role requires an electrical bias, PLC knowledge, and the ability to multi-skill while maintaining high safety standards.

Qualifications

• ONC or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
• Understanding of Electrical Circuit diagrams.
• Willingness to multi-skill where required.
• Experience with motors and variable speed drives (VSDs).
• Container handling equipment experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive and preventative maintenance across Terminals One and Two.
• Attend and fix machine breakdowns safely and promptly.
• Report parts and materials needs to the Engineering Shift Manager.
• Deliver the Preventative Maintenance Plan and liaise on spare parts availability.
• Uphold safe working culture and carry out risk assessments.
