Job summary

Seagate Technology in Derry/Londonderry, Northern Ireland seeks a Shift Equipment Technician Manager to lead a team of Engineering Specialists responsible for maintaining and improving complex manufacturing equipment.

You will oversee planned, predictive, and reactive maintenance, drive downtime resolution, mentor staff, and collaborate across departments to ensure equipment availability and safety standards in a high-tech production environment.

Qualifications

• Level 4 qualification or Level 3 with 3 years relevant experience in technical/management.
• Strong leadership with experience mentoring engineers.
• Experience analyzing trends to identify preventive maintenance solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of engineering technicians and set goals, provide training, and give performance feedback.
• Oversee planned, predictive, and reactive maintenance across complex manufacturing equipment.
• Ensure safety procedures and regular safety audits are followed.
• Lead downtime response and coordinate rapid issue resolution.
• Promote continuous improvement and cross-department collaboration.
