Job summary

Sherborne Talent Solutions is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Engineer (Mechatronics) to join a global manufacturing leader in Belfast. You’ll keep high-speed lines running, troubleshoot complex faults, and drive improvements in uptime and performance.

You’ll work on automated equipment in a fast-paced environment, collaborate with production teams, and contribute to TPM and safety standards. This role is on-site with shift flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Keep high-speed production lines running smoothly.
• Drive equipment reliability, uptime and performance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and efficiency projects.
• Act as a key technical expert within a highly automated shopfloor.
• Troubleshoot complex equipment and see immediate impact.
• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance on automated machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and control faults.
• Work with production teams to optimise machine performance and reduce downtime.
• Support TPM and continuous improvement initiatives (downtime, OEE, efficiency).
• Manage spare parts and support cost control.
• Keep accurate maintenance records and drive follow-up actions.

• Responding quickly to breakdowns in a high-volume production environment
• Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance on automated machinery

• Working closely with production teams to optimise machine performance and reduce downtime
• Supporting TPM and continuous improvement initiatives (downtime, OEE, efficiency)
• Managing spare parts and supporting cost control
