Job summary

Pilgrim's Europe in Bromborough is seeking a Shift Engineer to join our Engineering team on a rotating 4 on 4 off schedule (2 days / 2 nights). You will maintain site assets, support reliability improvements, and uphold safe maintenance practices to ensure continuous production.

The role requires recognised mechanical and electrical qualifications, with knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs and inverter assets. Training and development opportunities are available on site.

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification in mechanical and electrical engineering.
• BTEC Engineering Certificate or equivalent.
• Broad knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, electrical, PLCs and inverter assets.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all site assets to a high standard, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
• Execute planned and reactive maintenance activities safely and efficiently.
• Drive plant reliability through hands-on interventions, improvements, and analysis.
• Apply and communicate robust safe systems of work and risk assessments.
• Deliver on Engineering KPIs.
• Support the development of standards for equipment and facilities.
• Manage engineering stock control and ensure accurate system records.
• Coach and train production colleagues to enhance equipment knowledge and performance.
• Promote a culture of professional engineering and continuous improvement.

About The Role

We are seeking a Shift Engineer to join our dynamic and forward-thinking team in Bromborough. With recent investments in new equipment and greenhouse gas (GHG) initiatives, we are building a strong foundation for the future of the site. This role is pivotal in ensuring the reliability and safety of our manufacturing equipment, supporting continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain all site assets to a high standard, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
