Job summary

Royal Lancaster London is seeking a dedicated Shift Engineer to join our Engineering team on a permanent basis. You will provide reactive maintenance to guestrooms and respond to guest requests, while supporting proactive work such as filter cleaning and vent maintenance.

The role is 40 hours per week on a shift rota, with benefits including pension, restaurant discounts, private medical insurance and family rates.

Qualifications

Experience in hotel maintenance.
Ability to perform reactive and proactive maintenance.
Knowledge of building systems and electrical/mechanical tasks.
Good attention to detail and safety.

Responsibilities

Provide a reactive maintenance service to guestrooms and guest requests.
Assist in providing a proactive maintenance service to guestrooms in respect of filter and vent cleaning, and showerhead de-scaling.
Ensure that the appearance of the hotel public and back-of-house areas is maintained in respect to lighting.
Ensure a high standard of maintenance to general areas of the hotel both Front & Back of house in terms of minor technical tasks.
Oversee the operation of the Building Management System to ensure plant is run economically and effectively.
Carry out basic Planned Preventative Maintenance activities to fixtures and fittings within guest bedrooms in accordance with the company and departmental standards as required.
