Job summary

Quintessential Brands Group operates from Warrington, where G&J Distillers keeps bottling and distillery lines running 24/7. We are seeking a skilled Shift Engineer to join our hands-on team and ensure production excellence across bottling, distillery and warehousing.

You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, troubleshoot automation systems, and support changeovers to maximise uptime while maintaining high safety standards.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 4 / HNC or recognised engineering apprenticeship.
• Proven experience with electrical control systems, PLCs and automation.
• Experience in FMCG, bottling or canning is desirable.
• Familiarity with CMMS and strong fault-finding skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and reactive maintenance on bottling, distillery and warehousing equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve faults quickly to minimise downtime.
• Work with electrical control systems and automation to keep lines running.
• Support product changeovers and improvement projects to boost efficiency.
• Collaborate with production to minimise downtime and safety-first operations.
