Albert Bartlett is seeking a skilled Shift Engineer to join our production team. This role involves operating, maintaining and troubleshooting production machinery on rotating day and night shifts to keep our fresh, chilled and frozen ranges running smoothly.

You will conduct preventive maintenance, document equipment performance, and drive continuous improvements in a dynamic manufacturing setting while ensuring a strong safety culture on site.

Qualifications

• Experience as an engineer in manufacturing or food production is desirable.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work rotating day and night shifts.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards in an industrial setting.
• Relevant technical qualifications or apprenticeship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot production machinery during rotating day and night shifts.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical issues swiftly and efficiently.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying equipment optimization opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report on equipment performance.
• Adhere to all health and safety policies, promoting a safe working environment at all times.
