Job summary

Rehlko is seeking a hands-on Workshop Generator Engineer to service, diagnose, and repair diesel generators in a busy workshop in Heanor. You will prepare units for deployment, conduct load bank tests, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.

The role requires mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills, the ability to read drawings, and collaboration with engineering teams. Onsite work with opportunities for training and career development are offered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with diesel generators or similar mechanical/electrical plant.
• Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repair of diesel generators from small to large units.
• Diagnose faults using tools and diagnostic software.
• Prepare equipment for deployment to customer sites.
• Conduct load bank testing, functional checks, and performance verification.
• Maintain service records and compliance documentation.
• Ensure workshop activities follow ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO45001 procedures.
• Support continuous improvement and stock control.
• Work with wider teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery.
