Job summary

Holiday Inn Bloomsbury is seeking a proactive Shift Engineer / Property Maintenance Officer to join our on-site team. The role focuses on daily maintenance tasks, ensuring guest rooms are presented immaculately and systems run smoothly across the hotel.

With a 40-hour week and flexibility across 5/7 days, you’ll work in a dynamic environment supporting the maintenance team to uphold safety, quality, and efficient service for our guests.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in Property Maintenance or similar role.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Proactive approach to maintaining high standards of safety and functionality.
• Team player who thrives in a busy environment.
• Experience with maintenance management systems.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance tasks and guest room upkeep to ensure immaculate condition.
• Assist in maintaining hotel facilities and respond to urgent maintenance requests.
• Support the property maintenance team to uphold safety and quality standards.

40 hours a week (5/7 days a week Flexibility is required)

We’re seeking a Trade Specialist to join our dedicated property maintenance team.

As an essential member of the team, you will be responsible for overseeing various daily maintenance tasks, ensuring that guest bedrooms are well-maintained and consistently presented in immaculate condition.

What we’re looking for:

Essential Skills:

• 2 years experience in Property Maintenance or similar role.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Proactive approach to maintaining high standards of safety and functionality.
• Team player who thrives in a busy environment.
• Experience with maintenance management systems.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Desirable Skills (Not required but a plus):

• Certifications in Facilities Management, Health & Safety, or related fields.
• Experience with energy management and sustainability initiatives.
• Multi-site management experience.
