Job summary

The Imperial London Hotels Limited is seeking a skilled Shift Engineer / Property Maintenance Officer for Holiday Inn, Bloomsbury. You will help maintain guest bedrooms and public spaces to the highest standards, ensuring comfort, safety and presentation align with our brand.

You’ll work closely with the maintenance team to prioritise repairs, prevent downtime and support exceptional guest experiences. This 40-hour week (5/7 days, flexible shifts) role requires hands-on electrical and mechanical

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in Property Maintenance or similar role.
• Strong problem solving abilities.
• Proactive approach to maintaining high standards of safety and functionality.
• Team player who thrives in a busy environment.
• Experience with maintenance management systems.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance tasks and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure guest bedrooms and public areas are well-maintained and presented immaculately.
• Respond to urgent maintenance requests to minimise disruption.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritise and complete works.
• Maintain accurate logs using maintenance management systems.
• Uphold health and safety standards and report hazards promptly.

We’re seeking a Trade Specialist to join our dedicated property maintenance team.

As an essential member of the team, you will be responsible for overseeing various daily maintenance tasks, ensuring that guest bedrooms are well‑maintained and consistently presented in immaculate condition.

Essential Skills

What we’re looking for:

• 2 years experience in Property Maintenance or similar role.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Proactive approach to maintaining high standards of safety and functionality.
• Team player who thrives in a busy environment.
• Experience with maintenance management systems.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Desirable Skills (Not Required But a Plus)

• Certifications in Facilities Management, Health & Safety, or related fields.
• Experience with energy management and sustainability initiatives.
• Multi‑site management experience.
