Job summary

Corinthia London is seeking a skilled Shift Engineer to maintain hotel facilities and power plant machinery, including heat, power, air conditioning and refrigeration, while performing room maintenance as required.

The ideal candidate will have previous engineering experience, a relevant degree, knowledge of Health and Safety regulations, and a strong commitment to exceptional guest service in a luxury 5-star environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role within hospitality or facilities.
• Fully conversant with Health and Safety regulations.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hotel facilities and power plant machinery via preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Service HVAC, heating, cooling and refrigeration systems to ensure optimal operation.
• Perform room maintenance and other area upkeep as needed.
• Adhere to corporate policies and safety guidelines.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Shift Engineer will be responsible for maintaining the Hotel facilities in optimum operating condition by performing preventative maintenance and repairs on hotel power plant machinery (including heat, power, air conditioning and refrigeration) as well as performing room maintenance repairs or other areas of the hotel as needed adhering to corporate policies and guidelines.

ABOUT YOU

• Previous experience in a similar role and be fully conversant with Health and Safety regulations.
• A proven track-record in Electrical Engineering is required, as well as holding a a relevant degree or equivalent qualification, ideally in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• A strong desire to learn and develop a career within luxury hospitality
