The Royal National, part of The Imperial London Hotels Limited, is seeking a skilled Shift Engineer / Property Maintenance professional to join our dedicated maintenance team. You will oversee daily tasks and ensure guest rooms are kept in immaculate condition, contributing to a high standard of service across the hotel.

We value safety, teamwork, and proactive problem-solving as you support our 7-hotel portfolio in Bloomsbury, London.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in Property Maintenance or similar role.
• A relevant trade qualification or training
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Proactive approach to maintaining high standards of safety and functionality.
• Team player who thrives in a busy environment.
• Experience with maintenance management systems.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance tasks across hotel facilities.
• Ensure guest bedrooms are maintained and presented immaculately.
• Respond to urgent maintenance requests and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with a team of shift engineers to keep the hotel running smoothly.

Shift Engineer / Property Maintenance at The Royal National

40 hours a week (5/7 days a week Flexibility is required)

• Are you a skilled Shift Engineer or Property Maintenance Officer?

We’re seeking a Trade Specialist to join our dedicated property maintenance team. As an essential member of the team, you will be responsible for overseeing various daily maintenance tasks, ensuring that guest bedrooms are well‑maintained and consistently presented in immaculate condition.

Essential Skills

• 2 years experience in Property Maintenance or similar role.

• Experience with maintenance management systems.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Desirable Skills (Not Required But a Plus)

• Certifications in Facilities Management, Health & Safety, or related fields.
• Experience with energy management and sustainability initiatives.
• Multi-site management experience.
