Job summary

Edwardian Hotels London is recruiting for a Shift Engineer at The May Fair Hotel. The role focuses on maintaining the hotel daily, responding to guest and host requests, and coordinating repairs and planned maintenance to keep operations running smoothly.

The ideal candidate will have hotel maintenance experience, strong health and safety knowledge, and the ability to perform electrical, plumbing, decoration, and carpentry tasks while supervising a maintenance team and ensuring regulatory fire

• Be fully aware of Health and safety procedures.
• Understand the requirements for effective water management.
• Have knowledge of environmental matters.

• Understands basic housekeeping processes and procedures.
• Demonstrates personal ownership, team, and motivational skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the hotel on a daily basis to ensure the effective running.
• Respond to requests from guests and hosts, handling them quickly and efficiently.
• Coordinate and prioritise repair-maintenance orders and planned maintenance orders.
• Check and monitor completed work to ensure it meets company standards.
• Supervise maintenance assistants and delegate tasks per skill set.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory fire and safety standards.

We are currently recruiting for a Shift Engineer for The May Fair Hotel.

Overview

• An amazing opportunity to join the Maintenance team at The May Fair Hotel as a Shift Engineer.
• As a Shift Leader you will be responsible for maintaining the hotel on a daily basis to ensure the effective running.
• You will respond to requests coming in from both guests and hosts, handling them both quickly and efficiently.
• You will coordinate and prioritise the distribution of repair-maintenance orders and planned maintenance orders ensuring they are addressed in a timely manner.
• You will check and monitor completed work in order to ensure it is completed to company standards.
• You will supervise maintenance assistants and delegate tasks as appropriate and as per skill set.
• You will ensure that Edwardian Hotels London always adhere to all regulatory fire and safety standards as legally required.
