Job summary

Zest in the United Kingdom is seeking a Shift Engineer to maintain high-speed production and processing equipment on a rotating shift pattern. Commutable from Wisbech, King's Lynn, Peterborough, Spalding and March.

As Shift Engineer you will carry out planned and reactive maintenance, respond to breakdowns to minimise downtime and work with production and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement while ensuring food safety standards and accurate maintenance records.

Qualifications

• Recognised engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3, HNC or equivalent apprenticeship.
• Electrical bias preferred; multi-skilled engineering background essential.
• Experience in FMCG/food manufacturing or fast-paced production.
• Willingness to rotate across day and night shifts.
• Proactive hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills.

What We're Looking For

• Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, or a similarly fast‑paced production environment
• Willingness to work a rotating shift pattern, covering both days and nights
• A proactive, hands‑on approach with strong problem‑solving skills
