Job summary

Morson Human Resources Limited in London is seeking a Shift Electrical Engineer to join the team on a 2 days on, 2 nights on, 4 days off rota. The role covers PPM and reactive maintenance on building services, minor electrical/mechanical installations, and coordination of contractors.

You’ll deputise for the Senior Shift Technician and ensure timely ordering of materials. Excellent communication and IT/report writing skills are essential, with ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) per guidelines using the Concept system.
• Perform reactive maintenance, minor works, projects, and respond to alarms.
• Assist with contractor management and coordination; deputise for Senior Shift Technician as needed.
• Maintain detailed shift logs and report risks, accidents, near misses.
• Complete water treatment tasks and support service improvement initiatives.

Summary
My client is seeking a skilled Shift Electrical Engineer to join their team in London, working a 2 days on, 2 nights on, 4 days off rota.

The role involves carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) in line with guidelines using the Concept system, alongside reactive maintenance, minor works, projects, and emergency response related to the building’s electrical and mechanical services.

You will be responsible for minor electrical and mechanical installations, and assisting with contractor management and coordination. The role requires deputising for the Senior Shift Technician when necessary and ensuring materials are reported for reordering.

You will identify and report risks, accidents, and near misses promptly, respond swiftly to building alarms, and maintain detailed shift logs. Additional duties include completing water treatment tasks, supporting continuous service improvement, and ensuring all PPMs are returned on time with follow-up on recommendations. The role demands excellent communication skills, the ability to work calmly under pressure, and strong IT and report writing capabilities.
