Job summary

PRS is seeking an experienced Electrical Bias Shift Engineer to join a prestigious commercial site in King's Cross. The role focuses on maintaining critical electrical systems within a modern, high-spec environment and delivering first-class engineering services.

You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults, and support multi-skilled building services operations while ensuring health and safety standards are met and records are accurately kept.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• Experience in commercial building maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and reactive maintenance on electrical systems and plant.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical systems and associated plant.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to minimise downtime and maintain operational performance.
• Support mechanical and building services equipment where required as part of a multi-skilled team.
• Monitor building systems and respond promptly to alarms and incidents.
• Complete maintenance records, permits, and reports using the site's maintenance management system.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures, statutory regulations, and industry best practices.
• Liaise with subcontractors and colleagues to ensure all works are completed to a high standard.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• Previous experience in commercial building maintenance or a similar environment.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Familiarity with LV distribution, lighting systems, emergency lighting, UPS, generators, and general building services.
