Job summary

R&A Consultants Ltd in Central London is seeking an experienced Electrical Shift Engineer to join the on-site engineering team at a state-of-the-art commercial static site.

The role covers PPMs and reactive maintenance across electrical building services, fault-finding, routine inspections, and supporting upgrades. The 4 on/4 off shift pattern includes days and nights with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds / NVQ in Electrical discipline.
• Experience in commercial building services or facilities maintenance.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive maintenance across electrical building services systems.
• Fault-find and repair electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, emergency lighting, control panels, and associated plant.
• Complete routine inspections and testing to ensure electrical systems remain safe, compliant, and fully operational.
• Respond to breakdowns and reactive maintenance requests, minimising disruption to site operations.
• Support minor electrical works, system upgrades, and general engineering projects where required.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure all works are completed in line with health & safety and compliance requirements.
