Job summary

McCarthy Recruitment is seeking a Shift Electrical Engineer for a busy engineering team within a large-scale automated environment. The role is permanent and full-time with a 4 on / 4 off shift, including days and nights, offering exposure to a wide range of electrical systems and equipment.

You will maintain plant reliability, respond to breakdowns, and ensure safe and efficient operation. A strong electrical qualification and fault-finding ability are essential, with practical, hands-on

Qualifications

• Electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills required.
• Experience in industrial/automated environments preferred.
• Qualification in electrical engineering (HNC level or equivalent) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain plant reliability and respond to breakdowns.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance to high standards.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Support continuous improvement projects across the site.
• Work across a range of electrical systems and equipment.
