Job summary

Ipsum is seeking a SHEQ Advisor in Warwickshire with significant UK travel to join our growing infrastructure team. You will lead expert guidance across Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality matters, ensuring compliance with legislation and our SHEQ management systems.

You will work with operations, customers and managers to promote a proactive safety culture and deliver audits, investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety is required.
• IOSH membership at an appropriate level.
• Experience in a SHEQ Advisor or similar role within utilities, infrastructure, construction or a related sector.
• Strong knowledge of SHEQ management systems, compliance requirements and industry legislation.
• Experience conducting audits, inspections and incident investigations.
• Ability to review risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Environmental awareness and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Promote and support SHEQ across the group, divisions, depots and sites within your remit.
• Be an ambassador for SHEQ and promote out-of-the-box thinking to implement solutions with customers and operations.
• Coordinate and support the implementation of SHEQ policies, procedures and risk controls.
• Support audits, accreditation management and continuous improvement activities.
• Conduct site visits to monitor performance and provide feedback with corrective actions.
• Support the ongoing improvement of the Quality Management System and related audits.
• Collaborate with internal customers, contracts and managers to achieve SHEQ targets.
