Job summary

Ipsum Utilities Limited in Sidcup seeks a SHEQ Advisor to ensure compliance with SHEQ management systems and legislative obligations. You will coach staff, monitor audits, and drive continuous improvement to strengthen safety culture across sites and depots.

You’ll develop policies and oversee RAMS and briefings, work with clients, and lead or support investigations to uphold standards. A NEBOSH certificate with IOSH membership is preferred, plus strong IT skills and independent collaboration.

Qualifications

• Qualified SHEQ professional with utilities/infrastructure/construction experience
• NEBOSH Certificate and working towards/holding NEBOSH Diploma
• IOSH membership (Tech IOSH or above) with practical knowledge of legislation and risk management

Responsibilities

• Promote and support SHEQ across divisions, depots, and sites within remit
• Act as a SHEQ ambassador, encouraging innovative solutions and collaboration
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and risk controls to reduce risk
• Work with internal teams and clients to meet SHEQ targets and drive improvement
• Monitor performance against Occupational Health and Safety Plans
• Conduct site visits, audits, and inspections; provide feedback and corrective guidance
• Ensure timely closure of corrective actions with measurable improvements
• Support RAMS, Job Packs, and briefings
• Attend client SHEQ forums and represent the business
• Lead or support investigations and assurance audits to uphold SHEQ standards
