Job summary

Enva NI in Carryduff is seeking a SHEQ Advisor to collaborate with the SHEQ Manager, developing and implementing HSE plans across non-hazardous waste depots and divisions. The role ensures ISO compliance and inspection readiness, with regular audits and training responsibilities.

You will travel weekly to depots, conduct audits, manage documentation, review policies, and support incident investigations, PPE management and contractor oversight, contributing to a safe, compliant workplace.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate required; IOSH considered if NEBOSH completed within first year.
• Experience with operational safety, risk assessments and procedural docs.
• Experience in incident investigation and root cause analysis.
• Good knowledge of HSE legislation and audit/inspection processes.
• Experience delivering training to varied personnel levels.
• Strong written and verbal communication; highly organised.
• Ability to analyse data and plan corrective actions.
• Proficient PC skills: Word, Excel, Teams.

Responsibilities

• Attend and participate in weekly non-hazardous waste SHEQ huddles.
• Visit depots weekly, check compliance on safety items and report findings.
• Audit and monitor inspection/testing of assets; track non-conformances.
• Maintain structured SHEQ filing systems for all depots.
• Plan and coordinate internal and external audits and accreditations.
• Conduct internal ISO compliance audits and implement improvements.
• Maintain Compliance & Inspection Readiness Matrix for depots.
• Collect and submit weekly SHEQ incident and KPI data.
• Support incidents reviews and implement learning; develop safety communications.
• Support training, policy reviews and contractor management.
• Investigate accidents/near misses and implement preventive actions.
• Manage PPE stocks and inspection/testing of PPE and RPE where used.
• Engage with external bodies for inspections and liaison with stakeholders.
