Job summary

Hampshire Recruitment Group LTD invites applications for a Health & Safety Advisor based in Brentwood, Essex. The role focuses on delivering proactive safety, auditing sites and advising project teams to uphold the highest SHEQ standards.

Salary range £50,000–£55,000 per annum with car allowance, pension and holiday. Opportunity to take over the SHEQ department within 2–3 years; driving licence required.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Construction or National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or studying towards.
• Proven practical experience of CDM Regulations 2015.
• Understanding of HSG47/GS6 for Underground Utility Avoidance would be desirable.
• Construction/utility sector knowledge and a valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Compliance Champion: conduct site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to company systems.
• Safety Monitoring & Reporting: monitor SHEQ compliance and escalate significant findings.
• Culture Development: implement systems to enhance safety culture.
• Project Support: provide expert SHEQ advice to project teams.
• Client Liaison: maintain strong client relationships to meet SHEQ requirements.
• Incident Management: conduct investigations and ensure corrective actions.
• Communication & Presentation: present audit findings at project reviews.
• Sub–contractor Management: monitor subcontractor SHEQ performance.
• Continuous Improvement: contribute to development of the SHEQ Management System.
• Professional Development: maintain competence and engage in CPD.
