Job summary

Blackpool Coastal Housing in Blackpool is seeking a Sheltered Resilience Officer to support older and vulnerable residents across sheltered housing schemes. You will carry out Needs and Risk Assessments for new residents and develop tailored Support Plans.

Responsibilities include regular welfare checks, reviewing plans, signposting to debt advice, mental health services and social care, and responding to emergencies.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with vulnerable customers.
• GCSEs including Maths and English at grade 4/C or above.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a dispersed team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Needs and Risk Assessments for new residents.
• Develop tailored Support Plans based on individual circumstances.
• Regular welfare checks and annual reviews of plans.
• Manage several sheltered housing schemes and maintain tenant contact.
• Signpost or refer tenants to debt advice, mental health services, social care.
