Job summary

CIH International Housing Group is seeking a Very Sheltered Housing Officer to deliver Housing Support to tenants across Fife’s 12 complexes. You will provide daily welfare checks and on-site Housing Support via a tailored plan, working a 4-week rota that includes weekends and public holidays.

The role requires flexibility, mobility across complexes, and competence as a lone worker within a wider team. The ideal candidate has experience with older people or those with special needs, SVQ level 6

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with older people or service users with specific or additional needs.
• Educated to SVQ level 6 which meets the SSSC registration requirements for Housing Support Workers in a Housing Support Service.
• Can deal with crisis situations.
• Be able to demonstrate an ability to work on his/her own initiative.
• Have a positive attitude to service users.
• Literacy and numeracy skills.
• Basic IT skills - ability to deal with e-mails.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a Housing Support service to tenants across Fife in our 12 complexes as part of the Older Persons Housing Service.
• Provide daily welfare checks and onsite Housing Support via the Housing Support Plan.
• Work on a 4-week rota including weekends and public holidays; be flexible and mobile across all complexes in Fife.
• Work as a lone worker within a wider team across all complexes.
• Ensure PVG scheme membership and SSSC registration processes are completed within required timelines.
