Job summary

Blackpool Coastal Housing (BCH) is seeking an Emergency Housing Officer to manage day-to-day tenancy operations across hostels and dispersed accommodation in Blackpool. You will assess needs, ensure safety, and provide housing-related support to homeless clients, coordinating with multiple agencies.

The role requires strong organisational and communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 GCSEs including Maths and English (grade 4/C or above).
• Experience supporting vulnerable clients and homelessness services.
• Understanding of customer rights and choices; professional boundaries essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out tenancy management across BCH hostels and dispersed sites.
• Ensure health, safety and wellbeing; conduct needs and risk assessments.
• Liaise with agencies; provide housing-related support.
• Administrative duties and IT system use; 35 hours per week.
