Job summary

BDS Recruitment in Romford is recruiting a Sheltered Housing Scheme Manager to support residents who live independently in the Scheme. The role is 36 hours per week, delivered Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, with potential temp-to-perm for the right candidate.

Duties include welfare and health and safety checks, signposting information, organizing activities and reporting repairs. An Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months (or on the update service) is required.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS check dated within the last 12 months.
• Experience supporting older adults in sheltered or supported housing is ideal.
• Ability to conduct welfare and health/safety checks.
• Strong communication and signposting skills.
• Reputable organisational abilities to arrange activities and report repairs.

Responsibilities

• Welfare checks on residents living independently in the scheme.
• Carry out health and safety checks of the building.
• Signpost residents to needed services and information.
• Organise activities for residents.
• Report repairs and coordinate with contractors.
