Job summary

MBDA UK Ltd. is seeking a dynamic Safety, Health & Environmental Manager for the Henlow site.

You will lead on-site to implement SHE policies, drive continual improvement, and collaborate with Manufacturing, Facility Management and Security to safeguard people and the environment. Qualifications

• Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (level 6 preferred).
• Significant experience in Safety, Health, Environment in a manufacturing environment.
• Broad understanding of manufacturing and laboratory technologies.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation applicable to MBDA operations.
• Experience in a SHE role at a COMAH facility would be advantageous.
• Ability to work as part of a team or independently.
• Ability to influence and engage employees at all levels in the organisation.
• Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex information.

Responsibilities

• Support management and employees on-site to ensure the Company SHE policies and procedures are effectively implemented.
• Develop a SHE culture of continual improvement.
• Work closely with Manufacturing, Facility Management, Security & Explosive Safety.
• Gain practical and professional experience in a challenging sector.
• Be part of a supportive and high performing team.
• Role may involve travel to other MBDA UK locations.
