Job summary

Babcock is seeking a SHE Advisor to join its Defence and engineering teams in Plymouth. The role involves providing assurance, governance and specialist health and safety advice to ensure compliance with legislation, standards and contractual requirements across a complex operational environment.

You will work with a wide range of stakeholders to drive positive safety outcomes and protect people, operations and programmes.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting health and safety audits in complex operational environments.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and contractual requirements.
• Ability to produce clear audit reports and management information for decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Conduct health and safety audits across a variety of operations and supplier environments.
• Identify compliance and non-compliance issues, providing feedback and recommendations for improvement.
• Produce audit reports and management information to support decision-making and performance monitoring.
• Support deployment and continual improvement of health, safety and environmental management systems.
• Engage with managers, employees, suppliers and regulators to promote safe working practices.
