Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking a Health, Safety & Environmental (SHE) Advisor for projects across the North of England, ideally based around Leeds with travel across Northern projects.

You will provide practical SHE support on live construction sites, carry out inspections and audits, promote best practice, and lead investigations into accidents or near misses. A NEBOSH Construction Certificate and CSCS card are required.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Construction Certificate is a must.
• CSCS Card is required.
• Proven Health & Safety experience within Civil Engineering, Groundworks or RC Frame projects.
• Strong understanding of current H&S legislation and best practice.
• Experience carrying out site inspections, audits and incident investigations.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical SHE support across multiple live construction projects.
• Carry out site inspections, audits and compliance reviews.
• Promote Health, Safety and Environmental best practice.
• Review RAMS, CoSHH, PUWER, LOLER and Fire compliance.
• Deliver toolbox talks and behavioural safety briefings.
• Lead accident, incident and near miss investigations.
• Support contractor management and operational planning.
• Deliver internal SHE training where required.
• Build strong working relationships with project teams and clients.
