Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd. is seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental (SHE) Advisor to support projects across the North of England, ideally based around Leeds.

You will conduct site inspections, lead investigations, review RAMS and fire safety compliance, and deliver toolbox talks while promoting best practice on site. The role offers a strong career path with a leading UK infrastructure contractor.

Qualifications

  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.
  • CSCS Card holder.
  • Previous SHE experience in Civil Engineering, Groundworks or RC Frame projects.
  • Good understanding of current H&S legislation and industry best practice.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide practical SHE support across multiple live construction projects.
  • Carry out site inspections, audits and compliance reviews.
  • Promote Health, Safety and Environmental best practice.
  • Review RAMS, CoSHH, PUWER, LOLER and Fire compliance.
  • Deliver toolbox talks and behavioural safety briefings.
  • Lead accident, incident and near miss investigations.
  • Support contractor management and operational planning.
  • Deliver internal SHE training where required.
  • Build strong working relationships with project teams and clients.

Salary: GBP40000 - GBP60000 per annum

Location: North of England (Ideally based around Leeds with travel across Northern projects)
Salary: £40,000 * £60,000 + Company Van or Car Allowance + Excellent Benefits

Desirable
  • IEMA or other environmental qualification.
  • Temporary Works, Fire Risk or CoSHH qualifications.
  • Experience delivering training or toolbox talks.
  • Behavioural safety experience.
