Job summary

Shirley Parsons Ltd is seeking a proactive Health and Safety Advisor to support a Tier 1 contractor in their M&E department, covering London and the South region. The role involves on-site safety leadership, RAMS development, and regular site visits across varied projects.

M&E experience is desirable; construction H&S knowledge is essential, with a car package offered. You will engage with site managers, supervisors and operatives, deliver briefings, and drive a strong safety culture while

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum) or equivalent.
• Construction experience required; M&E desirable.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly between sites.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily H&S inspections across various construction projects.
• Review and help develop RAMS, toolbox talks, and safe systems of work.
• Provide practical, on-site advice to site managers, supervisors, and operatives.
• Support investigations for accidents, incidents, and near misses.
• Deliver safety briefings and training sessions when required.
• Maintain compliance with relevant legislation including CDM Regulations.
• Promote and strengthen a positive safety culture across all projects.

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive Health and Safety Advisor to support a Tier 1 contractor within their M&E department. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop further within the industry, with the opportunity to support a growing organisation across a diverse range of projects and environments. M&E experience is desirable, however, knowledge and understanding of health and and safety within a construction setting is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily H&S inspections across various construction projects
• Review and help develop RAMS, toolbox talks, and safe systems of work.
• Provide practical, on-site advice to site managers, supervisors, and operatives.

Requirements
