Job summary

Shirley Parsons Ltd is seeking a proactive Health and Safety Advisor to support a leading M&E and construction business across the Midlands.

The role focuses on on-site safety, RAMS development and ensuring CDM compliance across diverse projects.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum) or equivalent.
• Construction industry experience required; M&E experience desirable.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work autonomously.
• Confident working in a multi-site role.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily H&S inspections across construction projects.
• Review and develop RAMS, toolbox talks and safe systems of work.
• Provide practical, on-site advice to site managers and operatives.
• Support investigations for accidents, incidents and near misses.
• Deliver safety briefings and training sessions as required.
• Maintain compliance with CDM Regulations and health & safety law.
• Promote a positive safety culture across projects.

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive Health and Safety Advisor to support a leading M&E and construction business across the Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop further within the industry, with the opportunity to support a growing organisation across a diverse range of projects and environments. M&E experience is desirable, however, knowledge and understanding of health and and safety within a construction setting is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily H&S inspections across various construction projects
• Review and help develop RAMS, toolbox talks, and safe systems of work.
• Provide practical, on-site advice to site managers, supervisors, and operatives.
• Support investigations for accidents, incidents, and near misses.
• Deliver safety briefings and training sessions when required.
• Maintain compliance with relevant legislation including CDM Regulations.
• Promote and strengthen a positive safety culture across all projects.

Requirements

• NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum) or equivalent.
• Experience in construction required; experience in M&E highly desirable.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly between sites.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously.
• Confident in working in a multi-site role
