Job summary

Property Management Recruitment Ltd is working with a national housing provider to recruit a Shared Ownership Officer for a remote role. The successful candidate will guide shared owners through resales, staircasing and related transactions from first enquiry to completion.

Based in or around London, you will ensure leases and S106 agreements are followed, keep trackers accurate for reporting, and communicate progress to clients while delivering excellent service across a busy portfolio.

Qualifications

• Experience in shared ownership, leasehold, property sales or housing.
• Solid understanding of resales and staircasing.
• Strong customer service skills.
• The organisation to manage multiple live cases at once.
• A sharp eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Handle enquiries from shared owners quickly and professionally.
• Progress resales, staircasing, transfers of equity, remortgages and lease extensions through to completion.
• List homes and work with sales agents, solicitors and financial advisers to keep cases moving.
• Check transactions against lease terms and S106 requirements.
• Keep systems and trackers accurate for reporting and KPI's.
• Update clients on transaction progress and service performance.

It's a remote role with a well established housing provider, paying £28,000 to £30,000. Our client is a national housing management provider with three decades of experience. Their homes team looks after affordable, private rented and leasehold properties for local authorities, registered providers and investors. They have a strong people first culture, and they care about how they treat both their staff and their customers.

The role

As Shared Ownership Officer, you'll be the main point of contact for shared owners across the portfolio. You'll guide customers through resales, staircasing and other transactions from first enquiry to completion, and make sure everything stays compliant with leases and S106 agreements. The role is remote, Monday to Friday, and suits someone based in or around London.

What you'll be doing

• Handling enquiries from shared owners quickly and professionally
• Progressing resales, staircasing, transfers of equity, remortgages and lease extensions through to completion
• Listing homes and working with sales agents, solicitors and financial advisers to keep cases moving
• Checking transactions against lease terms and S106 requirements
• Keeping systems and trackers accurate for reporting and KPI's
• Updating clients on transaction progress and service performance
