Job summary

Heated Mechanical Services seeks an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to oversee mechanical works on a major shaft and infrastructure project in West London. This site-focused role requires delivering complex, safety-critical construction activities with strong coordination of trades.

You will lead mechanical installation teams, manage subcontractors, review drawings and RAMS, and ensure on-site progress aligns with the programme while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous Mechanical Construction Manager / Mechanical Site Manager experience.
• Experience with shafts, tunnels, rail or restricted-access environments is beneficial.
• Strong mechanical installation knowledge and construction practices.
• Ability to manage subcontractors and drive on-site programme.

Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical installation activities within the shaft and related areas.
• Coordinate mechanical subcontractors, supervisors and site labour.
• Plan and sequence works to the construction programme.
• Review drawings, RAMS and installation requirements.
• Coordinate mechanical installations with other disciplines.
• Monitor quality and ensure works meet project specifications.
• Attend daily coordination and progress meetings.
• Maintain accurate site records and progress reporting.
• Coordinate testing and commissioning activities.
• Carry out snagging and remedial works.
• Ensure health & safety procedures are followed on site.

An experienced Mechanical Construction Manager is required to oversee mechanical works associated with a major shaft and infrastructure project in West London.

This is a site-focused delivery position requiring a strong Mechanical Construction Manager who is comfortable operating within a complex, safety-critical construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical installation activities within the shaft and associated areas.
• Coordinate mechanical subcontractors, supervisors and site labour.
• Plan and sequence works in line with the overall construction programme.
• Review drawings, specifications, RAMS and installation requirements.
• Coordinate mechanical installations with structural, civil and electrical works.
• Manage site logistics and access requirements associated with mechanical installations.
• Monitor quality and ensure works meet project specifications.
• Carry out inspections and manage snagging and remedial works.
• Coordinate testing and commissioning activities.
• Attend daily coordination and project progress meetings.
• Maintain accurate site records and progress reporting.
• Ensure all works are undertaken in accordance with project health & safety procedures.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous Mechanical Construction Manager / Mechanical Site Manager experience.
• Strong mechanical installation and construction knowledge.
• Experience working on large, complex or heavily coordinated construction projects.
• Strong understanding of safe systems of work and construction site procedures.
• Ability to manage subcontractors and drive programme on site.
• Confident interpreting drawings, specifications and technical information.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Experience with shafts, tunnels, rail, infrastructure or other restricted-access environments would be particularly beneficial.

This is an immediate requirement and would suit a hands-on Mechanical Construction Manager accustomed to technically challenging site environments.
