Role Overview

As a Sewer Technician in Water Recycling Services, you'll help protect the environment and public health by maintaining critical infrastructure. Your tasks will include resolving issues like blockages, odours, flooding, and incidents, while providing excellent customer service and complying with environmental standards.

You'll be on standby for out-of-hours work to ensure continuous service. Safety is a priority, and you'll follow health and safety protocols diligently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate high-pressure water jetting units and CCTV equipment, with training provided.
  • Identify and recommend repairs for sewerage network issues.
  • Investigate and resolve sewerage problems for customers.
  • Respond to incidents and perform planned maintenance.
  • Record feedback accurately using IT systems.
  • Work mainly alone, engaging with internal and external customers daily.
Candidate Requirements
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Basic IT skills.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative.
  • Full driving license; a 4.5-tonne license is advantageous (training provided).
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights, with a maximum weight limit of 113kg due to harness restrictions. Occupational health checks, including HAV, will be required.
