Job summary

Lanes Group Plc is seeking customer-focused people to join our Southern Water contract within the Utility Division, delivering practical drainage solutions and supporting essential water and wastewater services across the Southeast.

Duties include clearing vegetation around drainage assets, creating safe access, inspecting equipment, operating hand and powered tools, disposing of waste, and assisting teams while adhering to health, safety and environmental procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in drainage or utility services is preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Good physical fitness and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Clear vegetation around drainage assets and ensure safe access routes.
• Inspect drainage assets and report hazards or obstructions.
• Operate hand tools and powered equipment with proper safety PPE.
• Assist drainage teams with access preparation and site maintenance.
• Dispose of green waste and debris in line with environmental guidelines.
• Adhere to health, safety and environmental procedures at all times.
