Job summary

Lanes Group is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Drainage Assistant to join our team at the Wellingborough Depot. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers in a permanent role.

Your responsibilities will include assisting with surveys, operating cleaning equipment, and supporting emergency situations. In return, we provide enhancements such as overtime rates, 21 days of holiday plus bank holidays, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Strong interest in drainage, utilities, or civil engineering.
• Practical and hands-on approach, willing to work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers about scheduled works.
• Assist in identifying drainage issues.
• Operate equipment to clean drains, sewers, and pipework.
• Perform routine equipment checks and maintenance.
• Support CCTV inspections for underground pipes.
• Assist in emergency response situations.
• Complete job sheets and risk assessments under supervision.
